If you want to experience the best of what I got from WordCamp Boston, you’ll need to:
- Watch these presentations:
- Top 20 WordPress Plugins You’ve Never Heard Of. Easily the most useful presentation I saw all day, found lots of great and useful plugins.
- Short Codes: Pain Free Magic, a great presentation by friend Mike Susz. Quickly got everyone up and running with shortcodes.
- After the Deadline – presentation on a plugin that performs enhanced copyediting on WordPress blogs (and other places where you can write things online).
- Lock it Up: WordPress Security. Great tips for securing your WordPress blog. Some of them are just things you need to lock down or permissions to change, while others are plugins to help keep things secure.
- Take in some terrific, panoramic views of the Boston skyline from Microsoft’s prime real estate at One Memorial Drive.
- Have a boisterous, nerdy, delicious dinner with @kgrocki, @mikesusz and @abetterflapjack.
- Test out – and crash – The Asgard’s digital ordering devices.
- Get your car stuck in the exit gate at the Microsoft NERD Center parking garage. Actually hilarious in a very Mr. Bean sort of way.
- Take a lot of photos, edit them down, and post your favorites.
