I took advantage of the warm weather this afternoon and took a long walk at the beach while Esme was at dance. I was treated not only to a beautiful sunset over Boston, but also this lovely moonrise over Swampscott.

These two were very willing to oblige me with a photo at the sledding hill today. But don’t be deceived by their angelic faces. As soon as they were in the sled together and smiling and I was framing the shot…they pushed off and started sliding backwards, and away from me. See the sled tracks? What goof balls!

A little end of the day down time. Pink cheeks, cute hair and snuggly play clothes. Sweetest little couch scene.

The girls were honored to be asked to decorate their little cousin’s first birthday cake. A giant number one, fireworks and dinosaur & shark sprinkles were the order of the day.

Lots of fun today, talking and playing Pokemon with other kids who share the passion. The whole group couldn’t get cuter if they tried!

If I can’t be there, the second best is to read about England in “British Heritage Travel” magazine. Many thanks to Grandma Wood for the Christmas gift of a stack of magazines. I’ll be reading and dreaming all winter!

Even though she’s always with me, I am still surprised when I see how grown up she looks in some pictures.

All my loves, sound asleep for the first few hours of our trip home today. It was a perfect day for a 14 hr drive.
