Library Princesses

Esme and I met up at the circulation desk at the library today and our selections gave me quite a chuckle! It is quite an ironic pairing!

We checked out:

The Princess Problem by Rebecca Hains

Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, three of the Magical Princesses series by Sally Gardiner.

The former is written by a friend of ours and local college professor. I’m looking forward to sinking my teeth into it and although the Wood household has not been terribly princess obsessed, I’m sure it will be a good read! The latter three were a surprise delight. Esme chose them, but she and I both love them. They are simply written, beautifully illustrated and just the right level for our newest reader. They are just delightful!

I’ve read some wonderful things about Princess Problem, and it’s on my TBR list. Let me know how you like it!

I’m about half way through, but I’ll try to let you know what I thought. As it turns out, I’m quoted in it! Names have been changed to protect the innocent, but as I was reading I thought, “those words sound familiar!” 🙂
