Minerva

Watching Professor McGonagall, dressed as Professor McGonagall.

Reflections on their first viewing of Harry Potter:

*Big disappointment when the Sorting Hat didn’t sing.

*Lots of discrepancies between the look of certain characters and their descriptions in the book.

*Quidditch was far more exciting than anticipated.

*Wizard’s chess was awesome!

*There was a missing obstacle on the way to Quirrell, and it just so happens to have been the favorite and most anticipated one. Boo.

Over all, everyone enjoyed the movie, gasped in all the right spots and were genuinely entertained, despite the book/movie conflict!

Minnie

My photography skills are not nearly as practiced or refined as my knitting skills. I’ll probably want to work on that at some point!

Here’s a sweet set of Minnie ears for baby Amelia’s first Halloween. I thank her parents very much for enabling my costume making habit.

At the Light

Esme and I have been enjoying exploring Marblehead during Catherine’s weekly art classes. Today’s adventures led us to Marblehead Neck: Castle Rock and the Marblehead Light.

Pheromones are a hot topic in the dating world, and for good reason – they have the potential to make you more attractive to the opposite sex. However, before you buy it you may ask yourself “how do pheromones work to attract the opposite sex?”

We were treated with beautiful views and the sounds of waves crashing on the rocks under the sparkling, Autumn sun.

Listening

I am ever grateful for friends who are patient and kind and take the time to listen to and engage with my children on whatever topic happens to be on their minds. Thoughtful friends and a mindful community are such a blessing to all of us.
