Seventh Trek Connection

Becky and I enjoy making connections when we watch TV: “Ooh, so and so on this show was on that movie with that person!” Kind of like the degrees of Bacon game, but a bit more free-form.

Anyway, we recently made a connection that we thought we would share:

***Stephen Collins|http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0004834/*** and ***Catherine Hicks|http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0382819/*** star as Rev. and Mrs. Eric Camden on the show ***7th Heaven|http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0115083/***.

Here’s the connection: they were both in Star Trek movies!

Catherine starred as Gillian Taylor in the hilarious ***Star Trek IV|http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0092007/***, while Stephen starred as Captain/Commander Willard Decker in the unfortunate ***Star Trek: The Motion Picture|http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0079945/***… both of which were released well before 7th Heaven made its debut.

Speaking of Trek connections, we also spotted TNG’s ***Commander Data (Brent Spiner)|http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0000653/*** in this week’s new episode of ***Law & Order: Criminal Intent|http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0275140/***. He played a nutty psychologist, the husband of the psychiatrist whose lover was killed by their psycho daughter. Always good to see a familiar face. 🙂

Mr. and Mrs. Biggs!

Becky and I are back from the Cape. We had a great time being involved in Jeremy and Angela’s wedding, and the wedding itself was a great success. We may write a more detailed entry later, but for now I just wanted to let everyone know that the photos from my camera are online (I say ‘from my camera’ because I didn’t take all of them… credit goes to various other people who took photos while I was otherwise occupied):

***Jeremy and Angela’s Wedding|http://gallery.prwdot.org/jeremy_and_angela?page=1***

Photos cover the span of time from when I arrived on the Cape Thursday night to when we left the cape Sunday afternoon. Enjoy the photos, and watch for more details later! 🙂

Killington Wants Out

The ski resort town of Killington, Vermont has voted to attempt to secede from the state of Vermont, and to join the state of New Hampshire, which is 25 miles to its east.

***Story here|http://www.boston.com/dailynews/062/region/Killington_residents_endorse_p:.shtml***.

The Killington town officials must now draft a petition to present to the Vermont legislature for approval or rejection. I tell ya, the fun never stops up here in New England.
